I've never seen a sprouting seed like this before. The apple it came from was kind of bruised around the core. I figured that was why the seed felt it was time to sprout. I kept it between some damp paper towel while I finished making the crumble and planted it in some soil later on. I'll be pretty thrilled if an apple plant comes...
