Getting Ready

I'm sure it would be rational for someone who knows she has limited and unpredictable crafting time to work on projects in a one-at-a-time fashion but I seem incapable of that sort of planning. I think of something and go hunting around to see if I've got the stuff and if I do (or almost do) I rush right into cutting and sewing.

Don't you with you had abs like that? Maybe you do and you work for Cirque du Soleil. Maisie was being fussy and Rob tried holding her in a different position to see if the change of perspective would help (it did). She was like a little airplane.

Provided your airplane is covered in hot air balloons and drooling.

I finally fixed the mushroom quilt top. I had a nice bit time to myself last weekend and decided I would pick out those incorrect squares and put in the right colour. Just to be sure I was pulling out the right squares I got out my sketch and gave it a really close look and compared it to my quilt top. Maisie is two months old today. She's already so much bigger than she used to be. I was rotating her clothes around yesterday so the ones that fit are in the top of the dresser. The newborn things are so small. Did she really fit them? Where did my tiny baby go?

Trying Something New

There was no plain yogurt at the grocery store last week so we tried kefir instead. I've looked at it before but really had no idea what it was (and there was always plain yogurt available). It turns out it is pretty good stuff. I've only had it with granola so far. It's sort of halfway between milk and yogurt. It coats the granola but is still runny and has a really nice tangine...
