Because I felt like posting today but didn't really have anything to say...

- A picture of my (very sad) tomato plants and (very awesome) yellow half barrel on the back deck. Taken when I went outside to fill the squirrel feeder on Sunday.

A Lazy Weekend and a Cardigan

When I checked the weather at the end of last week the forecast for this weekend was really cold. The sun would be out but we were going to be dropping down into the thirties. Since Rob and I both felt the beginnings of a cold we decide it would be best to have an completely indoor weekend. I did the grocery shopping on Friday night and we have not unlocked our front door in the last two days. I have been outside only once - to fill the squirrel feeder for continued dog entertainment. Keeping Warm

I'm sitting here having a cup of tea in an attempt to warm up enough to do some sewing. It's cold here today. We've reached Winter proper* and everyone has switched into their cold weather coats. When I'm done the sewing I've got some knitting to do and I think I'll find a nice blanket to curl up under for that.

I don't seem to have any pictures of my sewing-in-p...

I had to make a major decision about changing the neckline on this dress and it just stalled me out completely. I hate that sort of thing. Where you think something might be better with an (irreversible) change but you're not totally sure and you can't quite picture it. In the end I went with the change and I'm glad I did. Lower...

A little while ago one of Rob's grandmothers moved from her house to an apartment. She'd been in her house for a long time. She had a lot of stuff that just wasn't going to fit in the apartment so she started to prune down and giveaway things she didn't really need any more. She knew I liked to sew. November kind of snuck up on me this year. It's not so much that I was surprised when it arrived. I just sort of felt like there aught to have been another week of October around somewhere. But here we are on the fifth and this evening was the first day this week I've had a chance to work on my October dress or share my Hallowe'en costume with you guys.
