September's Dress In Progress

September's dress is underway. I realized on Friday that September was going to end in the middle of this week - for some reason I thought I had another weekend - and I needed to get working. I don't know why I didn't do my pattern fitting while I was waiting for my fabric to arrive but that is what I ended up spending Friday night and Saturday doing.

This awesome pile of goodness is in trade from some crochet covered stones I sent to her a little while ago. Bits of each of these fabrics are going into my charm quilt. One of the bars...

Every year when it gets really hot I wish I had more dresses. Dresses just seem so perfect for hot weather. They are easy to wear and a little breezier than a skirt and top. I love the way a dress and a pair of matching shoes always makes an outfit. If it happens to cool off you can always throw on a cute cardigan and still look all put together.
