The sun was pouring into our house this afternoon and while I ate lunch I tried to decide what I wanted to work on while it was here: sewing? knitting? quilting? my remaining December Daily pages? ... I eventually settled on knitting, because I could sit in the sunniest room in the house to do it, and my Swing Set socks.

I was working on my Solstice Slip socks at lunchtime today. I'm half way through the heel and still enjoying them. As I see it, these are my options:

1) Finish the sock with another colour (I might have a green around somewhere). Certainly the speediest, easiest option but not the most aesthetically pleasing.

My November sock yarn arrived last Tuesday evening but I wasn't able to find enough light to photograph it until Thursday afternoon. Like the last shipment this yarn is a beautiful dark colour. I didn't really see the colours in it until I was pulling it out to photograph. Delicious, warm and spicy.

One of the great bonuses of being in the Rockin' Sock Club this year was a coupon for 10% off at Blue Moon Fiber Arts. It was good until December 1st and it took me most of the year to decide what I wanted to get. I finally placed my order at the beginning of November and it arrived last week.
