Hi, my name is Shelley. I live with my husband in the cold and blustery Northwest Territories, Canada where the summer is rather short and much too buggy; our cat, Zeke, and our dog, Abby, keep us company. I love creating stuff and learning new ways of creating stuff. I'm always planning sewing, knitting or spinning projects and I'm getting into crochet. I also love dressing up and Jane Austen novels (and movies) and host an annual Jane Austen Fancy Dress Tea Party where all my friends are forced to dress up too. I recently discovered aprons as a sewing project and don't know how I've gone so long without them; everyone should have a set of lovely aprons around - they inspire industry.

Second to creating things I love to share what I learn so my site is here to share my crafting adventures with anyone who cares to read them. I hope you enjoy looking around.

Someone asked a little while ago where I got my nickname. It goes something like this: Liette and I were cleaning the storage room in our apartment (this is a several years ago when we used to live together).  We pause for a moment to take stock. Liette looks at me and says, "I really want to call you peanut. Can I call you peanut?" She's done so ever since.
