About Me

Hi, my name is Shelley. I live with my husband and our daughter in the cold and blustery Northwest Territories, Canada where the summer is rather short and much too buggy; our dog, Abby, and our two cats, Ollie and Fred, keep us company. You can also find me on Flickr (as Peanut Shell - note the space) and Ravelry (just plain peanutshell).

I love creating stuff and learning new ways of creating stuff. I'm always planning sewing, knitting or spinning projects and I'm getting into crochet and scrapbooking and learning how to garden. Second to creating things I love to share what I learn so my site is here to share my crafting adventures with anyone who cares to read them. I hope you enjoy looking around.

Someone asked a little while ago where I got my nickname. It goes something like this: Liette and I were cleaning the storage room in our apartment (this is several years ago when we used to live together).  We paused for a moment to take stock. Liette looks at me and says, "I really want to call you peanut. Can I call you peanut?" She's done so ever since.
