Maisie fell asleep while we were sorting some clothes on the bed. I used the time to start sewing down the binding on her new play mat.

I'm not a big lettuce eater but I really wanted to have some in my garden this year. When I do eat it I like it to be fresh and it really doesn't keep long in the fridge. I went for a mesclun mix for something a little interesting. It looks awesome growing but now that it's ready to eat I've been running out of ideas. Salad is great but, well, I get bored of it really quickly.
Have you ever had a peanut butter lettuce sandwich?
I hadn't had one in years but something made me think of it. It was perfect. Crunchy lettuce, crunchy peanut butter (the kind that separates) and some cheese and fresh (crunchy) radishes on the side. Also a glass of milk.
What did you eat for lunch?

I've been working on a tummy time quilt for Maisie (there have been a few sneak peeks in my Flickr stream). For the last week or so I've been working on quilting the sandwich whenever she naps. It's amazing how little bits of time can add up to something nearly finished. Yesterday I started working on the blue quadrant and I'm hoping to make some more progress (maybe even finish it) today. Then I'll just have binding and a label left to do before Maisie can start drooling on it.
