Guess how old I am today?

A four day weekend is just long enough for me to slip into vacation mode and start forgetting stuff ... here is Sunday's post of photos. You'll notice there are only six pictures again. I completely missed Thursday. I don't know why.


The warm weather is really here and I was bold enough to go outside without my hat!


A book, a puppy and a blanket in a bright living room. One of my favourite types of quiet moment.


Bread dough, to feed us for the week, in the best dough bowl in our house. It's huge and ceramic and dark blue. A wedding present from my brother that we use all the time.


Gratuitous puppy picture. We were out for a walk and I wanted to pause so I made Abby sit and took pictures of her.


Some of that yummy bread that feeds us ... all cooked up this time.


Critter One and Critter Two watching for Critter Three who had temporarily scampered off but was back a moment later for some more peanuts.

I saw some pictures of pysanky on Thursday and remembered that I had a few jars of dye around from years ago. I wasn't totally sure they'd still be good but decided I would give them a try anyway. It was a lot of fun to spend my afternoon drawing on eggs and watching them change colour. I got kind of messy but that gardener's scrub was great for getting the dye out of my fingers. I used whole eggs and only cracked one of the six I decorated (and fortunately it was only a crack not a complete break and I didn't get any egg in my dye). Now I really want to find a wooden bowl to display them in.
