We're leaving for vacation in a few minutes. I thought I should post something a little more cheery for while we're away.
This is a toy basket I made for Abby on Friday night. I roughly followed these directions (found via Thimble) but upped the dimensions. Abby's toys have been living in a cardboard box for the past couple of years. It was a great size but not very pretty on the family room floor. This basket was supposed to turn out the same size but somehow I did my math wrong and it's a bit bigger. Still works perfectly.
The outside fabric is a cotton from Kokka. The inside fabric is a solid from Purl but I can't remember which line. I didn't have any heavy weight interfacing so there is a layer of heavy canvas in the middle. I also used the canvas for the handles with some fancy ribbon I found at a shop in town.
