Two weeks in one post. Lots of variety.

We were super lazy and got Chinese food for dinner. This was my fortune. We figured it meant I should email my brother (who lives in Toronto).
I ran out of peanuts and had to fill the squirrel feeder with birdseed instead. I guess they don't like it as much (they don't make this much mess with the peanuts).

I know ... weird picture. Rob was out of town and I was trying to finish off the leftover chicken. I love the way cranberry sauce looks so jewel like when light hits it.

This actually happened (and didn't end with anyone being chewed on either).

I glanced into our bedroom after breakfast. A sort-of-made bed and lots of sunshine coming through our curtains.

I'm working on some spare crate liners for Abby. This one features applique circles and I even used my applique foot to sew them - it really makes a difference - you can see so much more.

Finishing my new skirt.

Zeke has started sleeping in the sun on the kitchen floor for part of every afternoon. When we get home from work he always wants to be carried around for a bit and I can tell which side was in the sun.

My fountain pen. I haven't used it in a while but it was the only appropriate tool for addressing tea party invitations. I love the way to writes - so fluid.

On Tuesday the trees suddenly had leaves. Every year I'm amazed at how quickly everything changes.

More changes: the dandelions are out. I know they can be a pest but they are also so pretty in big, wild patches.

One of the best things about going to the Noodle House for dinner is the enormous chunks of ice you get in your drink.

Some more paper piecing. I've only got one section left to go.

I have pansies in my garden. They're so bright and cheerful.
